Canine First Aid

We have our own Canine First Aid Instructor, Carol Lewis.

Carol runs two courses which run at regular intervals throughout the year.

Introduction to Canine First Aid

First aid is about providing immediate treatment to an animal in an emergency and preventing further injuries before getting the dog to the vets. This basic course will enable you to treat emergencies, either at home or walking with your dog.

The workshop begins at 7pm and lasts approximately 2 hours.

Canine First Responder

We’ll give you the confidence to respond to canine emergencies, whether it’s at home, at the scene of a road traffic accident or in a remote region of the country. Let us give you the skills you need with Canine First Responder Course.

The course runs from 10am until 4pm and costs £60 for Tailwagger Club Members and £80 for others. A certificate is given once the course is passed. It is a detailed first aid course and includes practical exercises one of which is resuscitation.

Both courses are run at Touch Canine Care Centre, Harrogate. If you are interested in attending either course or require any further information please contact Carol via her email
