Fun activities

Once they have attended a few classes, many owners get ‘the bug’ and want to do more things with their dogs. We offer a range of opportunities to try different activities – whether with a view to competition or just for fun. These are offered on an ad hoc or seasonal basis – please ask for details.

If you would like to get involved in obedience more formally and try out competition we offer weekend workshops plus mentoring with experienced handlers.

Our A3 and A4 classes incorporate some heelwork to music activities as a matter of course. We also arrange occasional weekend workshops led by top HTM competitors.

These are fun activities that require a high level of cooperation between dog and handler but which are designed to be fun and challenging for both. We include these in our advanced classes as well as offering them for fun at Display events. Examples of Dog Olympics include:

  • Musical dog chairs
  • Longest catch
  • Slowest recall
  • Kong retrieval
  • Relay races
  • Tidy up
  • Baa Boules
  • Woof challenge
